Responsible for the Environmental area at Bomfim Novis Advogados, Rafaela Setenta has been working exclusively in this practice for over 15 years. Specialized in environmental advisory and litigation, she has experience in conducting environmental legal due diligence in M&A operations, strategic advisory in licensing processes before Municipal, State and Federal environmental agencies, preparation of opinions for the regularization of projects and activities, analysis and management of risks and liabilities inherent to activities of major environmental impact, conduct of judicial and administrative proceedings, direct action before environmental agencies, Public Prosecution Office and Federal Police, negotiation of terms of commitment and adjustment of conduct, analysis of legislation and environmental responsibility in the civil, administrative and criminal law spheres. She operates in different sectors, especially beverages, mining, highway concessionaires, renewable energy and cellulose production, civil construction, infrastructure, hotels and industries. Before becoming a member of Bomfim Novis Advogados, she worked in São Paulo at Machado, Meyer, Sendacz and Opice Advogados.
In recognition, Rafaela was mentioned by The Legal 500 Latin America 2022 and ranked in 2021 edition. In the 2019 edition of Análise Advocacia 500, Rafaela Setenta was recognized as one of the most admired lawyers in Bahia, in the national category of Environmental Law and in the economic sector of Food, Beverages and Tobacco.
